SUMMARY:Math Carnival
DESCRIPTION:We want students at PCS to love Math! It is easy for some students to get weighed down by the repetition practice that acquiring math skills requires but “students who encounter mathematics in wonder are far more likely to commit to the rigors of its work.” (LibArtsTradition). So\, each year on the 100th day of school we create a Math Carnival where students buy and sell food and crafts they have made as well as play games that teachers design. These are all lively events which help students build mathematical understanding and skills while having a memorable experience with their peers.
