THE PORTRAIT
of a PCS GRADUATE

Frame

developed minds • discipled hearts

A liberal arts education is one which requires students to read broadly and think deeply. The seminal works of Western Civilization provide the time-tested basis for the development of the mind and the acquisition of virtue. This classic thread transcends time and place and is woven through the good, the true, and the beautiful from the shores of ancient Greece to the black intellectual tradition of 19th century Philadelphia. It ties together the human family and broadens the narrow mind. It is our hope that PCS graduates will be part of a new generation to reap the benefits of this rigorous and harmonious study, equipped to discern truth and communicate it persuasively, formed to be lifelong lovers of wisdom. Over and above the human experience is the divine relationship. PCS graduates are discipled to know Christ, worship him as their Savior, and embrace his body the Church. We send our graduates out into the world equipped to be courageous discerners instead of passive consumers, ready to serve their communities as culture makers.

PCS aims to graduate students who love the LORD their God with all their…
